ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS is an unprecedented, masterclass opportunity offered by Steve Vai to all music students and guitar enthusiasts. After a hugely successful launch in the USA we are bringing ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS to the London International Music Show. This 3 hour unique experience gives the student a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Steve discuss music theory, guitar techniques, the music business, and most importantly, techniques on how to discover and unlock personal musical identity. It also includes a question and answer session, and a few attendees will be chosen to jam with Steve in this intimate environment.

Availability is limited to 150 people per masterclass – so please be aware that these places will sell quickly.

ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS is only available through the www.londoninternationalmusicshow.com on-line ticketing store. Tickets cost GBP £180 plus booking fee (UK £1 or £3 rest of the world) and shall be limited to 150 per class. Ticket price includes:

• One pass to ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS masterclass
  A limited edition “Naked Tracks” 5 CD box set (handed out at the masterclass)
  Access to the London International Music Show (so NO separate ticket for the show needs to be purchased)
  Access to Phil Hilborne afternoon performance with Steve Vai and guests

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE CLASSES

You will need to arrive at the venue no later than 30 minutes prior to the beginning of he class. This is to allow you time to check your phones and cameras and for us verify your photo passes.

Seating within the masterclass will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis on sale of tickets. You will be allocated a seat number with your ticket confirmation.

Ticket procedure: when you purchase a ticket on-line your will receive:

1st - Email confirmation including your seat number.

2nd - In the post – a personalised pass with lanyard for one person + one guitar (optional) that requires a recent passport size photograph of the person attending the class (yourself or the person you’ve gifted it to). The pass is self laminating so that you can seal your own photograph in it. Also included will be a fact sheet with precise location details, check-in details etc.

You should eat something before you arrive at the venue. The masterclass will last over 3 hours and there will not be time to eat during the break. Some fans bring energy bars and bottled water along. This is highly recommended.

GENERAL POLICIES

• NO photo cameras or mobile phones will be allowed in the room during  the masterclass. You will be given a claim check number for your  camera/phone in order to retrieve it for the ‘meet ‘n greet with Steve’.
• NO video cameras.
• NO recording devices.
• All sales are final. No cancellations. No refunds.
• Passes are not transferable. Security will be checking that you match the photograph on your pass. Entry to the class will be denied if you do not match the photo.
• Persons who appear drunk or intoxicated will be denied entry.
• ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS, Steve Vai and London International Music Show assume no liability for musical instruments or personal articles brought into the class, the show or parking areas and is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal items. Personal articles will be the sole responsibility of attendee.
• You may be filmed while taking part in the masterclass. The footage  may or may not be used in future releases(s).  By taking part in ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS you understand this and grant permission to use your likeness in said releases.
• Security staff on site can check all persons and belongings entering and we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

AGE POLICIES

• NO babes in arms or pushchairs.
• Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and the parent must also buy a masterclass ticket.  Steve Vai, ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS and London International Music Show organisers assume no liability or responsibility for the behaviour or actions of attendees. The organisers and Steve Vai management reserve the right to expel any persons from the masterclass, at any time, without assigning a reason.

TICKET POLICIES

All sales are final - there are no cancellations, refunds, or exchanges.

Masterclass rescheduled: If a class is rescheduled, your passes will be valid for the rescheduled class. If a class is completely cancelled, please see below.

Masterclass cancellation: if a class is completely cancelled, a refund will be issued to the purchaser in the amount of the ticket less a 3% credit card processing fee.

Passes are non-transferable and date specific: passes may not be resold for any reason. We reserve the right to cancel the passes of anyone who is found to be selling their pass – especially on ebay.

FAQ:

Will Steve play guitar during the masterclass?
Steve will play, jam and demonstrate during the class, but please note that this is not a concert.

Do I need to arrive early?
Yes. You will need to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the start of the class. Please be on time.

What do I need to bring with me in order to gain entry?
You will need to bring your sealed photo pass and a printout of your confirmation email. You may also want to bring paper and pen to make notes, drinking water and energy bars.

Can I bring my guitar for the jam?
You can bring your guitar, but due to space limitations in the masterclass room, we will ask that all guitar cases be stacked in the back during the class. Please make sure your guitar is labelled with your name. ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS, Steve Vai and the show organisers assume no liability for any lost, stolen or damages instruments.

How will the jam with Steve work?
Upon entering the masterclass, participants will be issued a number. Those that would like to be considered to jam with Steve will be told to put their number in a box. Steve will draw numbers at random for people to come up and jam.

Can I resell my masterclass ticket/pass?
No. The original purchaser or gifted person must match their photo pass. Substitutions will not be allowed into the class. Passes without photographs will not gain access.

How do I cancel if I cannot attend?
We do not accept cancellations.

Can I give (sell) my ticket/pass to someone else?
No. Tickets are non-transferable. You may not give or sell the ticket/pass to someone else.

How do I purchase ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS as a gift for someone?
When you enter your billing information there will be a field to enter a will call name.  Enter the gift recipients name there.

Is Flash photography OK?
No cameras will be allowed to enter the room while the masterclass is taking place. Camera’s will be checked in at the door upon entry and collected for the ‘meet n’ greet’. Flash photography is fine for the ‘meet n’ greet’. Video cameras will not be allowed at any time. People who fail to follow this policy will have their cameras confiscated. ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS or the show organisers are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged cameras.

Can Steve autograph my guitar or CD etc?
Steve is happy to autograph CD’s, vinyl, books and guitars, however you are responsible for the items you bring to the masteclass. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Steve will sign one item per person.

When will I receive the “Naked tracks” Box Set?
You will receive the “Naked Tracks” box set when you enter the room for the masterclass.

Can I give Steve a copy of my demo CD?
No. While Steve is very supportive of upcoming artists, he cannot accept your demo CD’s due to legal liability. Keep them at home.

Can I give Steve a gift?
While Steve is honoured and flattered, he is unable to accept gifts from masterclass participants or fans. Your presence and participation in the class is a gift in itself. Please do not bring anything to give to Steve.
